I’ll be fast. I promise.
すぐにすませるよ. 約束（やくそく）する.
sugu ni sumaseru yo. yakusoku suru.
I will not go back on my word.
わたしは二枚舌（にまいじた）は使（つか）いません.
watashi wa nimaijita wa tsukaimasen.
I will take this secret to the grave.
この秘密（ひみつ）は墓場（はかば）まで持（も）っていく.
kono himitsu wa hakaba made motte iku.
All right, I promise.
わかった、約束（やくそく）する.
wakatta, yakusoku suru.
I shall keep my promise.
約束（やくそく）は守（まも）らねばなりますまい.
yakusoku wa mamoraneba narimasu mai.
I promised I wouldn’t tell anyone.
誰（だれ）にも言（い）わないって、わたし、約束（やくそく）したんだ.
dare ni mo iwanai tte, watashi, yakusoku shitan da.

名誉（めいよ）にかけて.
meiyo ni kakete.
I won’t tell you his secret.
あの人（ひと）の秘密（ひみつ）は言（い）わない.
ano hito no himitsu wa iwanai.
I will never say another word against them.
わたしはもう一言（ひとこと）もあの連中（れんちゅう）の悪口（わるぐち）は言（い）わんよ.
watashi wa mou hitokoto mo ano renchuu no warukuchi wa iwan yo.
I swear never to leave you while you live.
あなたが死（し）ぬまであなたから離（はな）れないことを誓（ちか）います.
anata ga shinu made anata kara hanarenai koto o chikaimasu.
I have your word.
あなたはわたしに約束（やくそく）したのですよ.
anata wa watashi ni yakusoku shita no desu yo.
Do you promise?
そうすると約束（やくそく）してくれますね?
sou suru to yakusoku shite kuremasu ne.
I swear to you I will.
誓（ちか）います.
